Slow Burn
A Past Full of Blame Leaves Only a Future Filled with Redemption
By Kim Hanna
Tuesday, February 28 @ 7pm
Jett has established a successful career in Philadelphia, a short drive and a lifetime away from her hometown of Centralia– where a mine fire has been burning underground for decades. With news of a relocation offer from the government, Jett returns to Centralia to convince her mother to leave but her mother has something else in mind. Deceased for a year, her husband Finn left journals describing a long-term affair with his daughter Jett. Following a painful journey through his journals, both are able to place the blame for the past and redemption for the future where they rightfully belong.
